Tasting notes

From de-alcoholised red wine, from sandy loamy loess soils in Spain, the Carl Jung Merlot is sourced. Its ruby red colour, its fruity aroma reminiscent of blackberry, a fine tannin structure and the typical Merlot bouquet quickens the heartbeat of every Merlot Lover.

The variety produces fruity and full-bodied wines, which after a few years of storage are ready for consumption. This is the reason for their current popularity. Therefore the Merlot benefits from the fact that it harmonizes well with oak, i.e. it is suitable for barrel storage in Barrique.

Food pairing notes

It is spicy and harmonious and is therefore the perfect non-alcoholic choice for game, red meat and stews or even a really strong cheese.

With approx. 22.9 Kcal per glass (100ml) Carl Jung Merlot contains much fewer calories than a normal red wine and with less than 0.5% alcohol by volume, it is ideal for all who want to go home with a clear conscience after a great dinner. The ideal drinking temperature is 10°C.
